Greenpeace activists rally in support of SBY’s commitments

- 400 Greenpeace activists from major cities around Java like Surabaya, Semarang and Bandung, will be rallying in support of President SBY’s commitment to cut carbon emissions and calling on him to put his words into practice and immediately halt deforestation in Indonesia.
- Activists (Climate Defenders Movement) will walk down Jl. Sudirman from Monas to Bunderan Hotel Indonesia and each group will display their banner during the march.
- Once at Bunderan Hotel Indonesia there will be a theatrical show – Obama and SBY holding a globe with a banner behind reading “stop talking start acting save the forests for our future” in Indonesian.
- A speech from Greenpeace forest campaigner Yuyun Indradi will close the rally.
